FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUPA AND DA KRYPTONITES BEFORE HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF?

A band not sticking to a format or type. If you like soul; we got it, funk yuup! Hip-Hop; damn straight, songs with meaning…check. Tracks that make ya dance, songs that make you think.

Maybe its because i am Gemini who knows but I write how I feel that day, what I have experienced through life, what we see and what some people don’t. So our set is forever changing and evolving just like us, you, our planet we reside on.

HOW WAS THE BAND FORMED?

I (Supa) met the guys a few months before we formed the band, just through mutual friends. I was stunned by their musical prowess, and straight away asked if they wanted to start a band, as I have always dreamed of having that kind of energy behind me. We started jamming, writing songs, I hounded people for gigs and…SUPA & Da Kryptonites were born.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU; INDIVIDUALLY & AS A BAND?

The truth, my daughter, our families.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT TO DATE?

Playing Doune the Rabbit Hole (our first festival), or packing out PJ Molloys, and selling out of our first ever CD we released; a live recording @ PJ’s.

WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR SUPA AND DA KRYTONITES?

ANSWER: If I knew that it wouldn’t be as fun. We are just enjoying playing and writing at the moment, but hopefully non-stop progression. ;)
